Practice Does Not Make Perfect

  I come today to ask, when was the last time you got frustrated by a business not running a business out of their business? Doesn't make sense? Please read on because so many people wonder why they cannot grow their business. I pride myself on being a great speaking coach. I teach people how to create sales and success by being a great presenter. Much of what I add for value is helping people in running a more successful business. So probably like a whole lot of you folks, I get completely freaked when so many small businesses have no idea how to run their business. And when we ask if they would like help they say, no. It's like trying o teach most corporations how to create great managers. Oh, all of our managers are great!  And that is where our lives crack wide open and we freak! Why don't people want help?   We always want our next speech to be the best ever, don't we? Then why do we worry so much? Because the challenge we face is that virtually no one is teaching us how to give a great talk. Talk! Please note there is a difference. A talk is shared while a speech is delivered. Make your next speech your best speech ever. If you are giving a speech to your board of advisors or to a college commencement address then you are delivering the information that is also being handed out for reference material. That is a speech. Delivering specific data maybe for people to reference. But when you give a talk, in front of a group, to a meeting of your peers or even to your leadership you want more than anything to not be boring!
